PREPARING FOR THE PROMISED LAND
DEUTERONOMY 11:25
In this verse Moses encouraged the people as they prepared to enter into the land that God had promised them.
He instructed them to courageously take hold of their inheritance, but in order to do that, they would have to step out in faith against great opposition.
God had been preparing them for this moment as he had spent the last forty years revealing Himself to them. He provided for them, He sustained them, He led them, and He protected them. It had been a long journey but those who had placed their faith in Him could now cross the finish line and take hold of God’s blessings.
Throughout the history of mankind, God has revealed Himself to the world.
He still requires those desiring to gain access into the “eternal” promised land, to place their faith in Him. To trust Him and believe that He is the same God now as He was back then. He still wants His people to step out in boldness and take hold of the promises He has given us.
Despite the opposition that we face on a day-to-day basis, we can find security and hope in knowing that if God is with us, nothing can stand against us.
We will face mountains, giants, and storms in our lives but he will use these situations as opportunities to move in mighty ways on our behalf. All we have to do is place our faith in Him and trust that whatever we encounter, that He is with us. When we stand boldly on His promises, and walk in faith, He will move in power.

PRAYER:
Father God, thank you for revealing your heart to me throughout scripture. Please give me the courage to take hold of the promises you have given me and to boldly step out in faith. As I face the great obstacles and storms in my life, God please help me not get discouraged but to fix my eyes on you, knowing that you have already prepared the path set before me. To you be the glory! In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, Amen.
